Cycle Store Zurich is a Zurich-based, standalone and independent retail store founded by four friends in 2012
who share the same passion for cycling, bikes, coffee and customer service - Dani, Alex, Luk and Flo.

In Autumn 2016 the almost endless search for an affordable but beautiful retail space came to an end.
The city of Zurich allowed us fulfil our dream in the heart of our city and the grand opening of Cycle Store Zurich took place in March 2017.

Since then, our team has expanded, changed and shuffled, now reaching a point where we have to pinch ourselves every now and then. We’re really very lucky.

BE PART OF IT.

  • LIZ

    LIZ

Liz brings fresh eyes and genuine enthusiasm to the sport, often reminding the rest of us what it feels like to fall in love with riding all over again. Whether it's the thrill of a first big climb or the simple joy of a smooth descent, she sees cycling through a lens of curiosity and joy that’s truly infectious. She’s passionate about helping riders find the perfect Lycra fit, offering honest advice, and brightening their day with a perfectly crafted flat white.

Her deep love for the outdoors, quality coffee, and strong community vibes is what naturally led her to join our team — and play a key role in growing the warm, inclusive atmosphere at our Andermatt location. Liz is as comfortable behind the espresso machine as she is talking gear, and her energy makes the shop feel like a second home for riders of all levels.

Don’t hesitate to strike up a conversation — ask her about her dog (she’ll light up), her favorite mountain trail, or what she misses most from her roots in Texas!

  • Armando

    ARMANDO

Raised between the structured world of competitive soccer in the U.S. and the untamed landscapes of rural Mexico, Armando grew up with a unique blend of discipline and freedom. That contrast continues to shape him today - always chasing adventure, pushing limits, and staying deeply connected to the world around him.

After years of traveling through Europe and stepping away from the cycling industry, 2025 marked a homecoming of sorts. Drawn back to what he’s always loved - bikes, people, and good conversation - Armando reentered the scene with fresh perspective and purpose. Now, he’s helping build vibrant, welcoming cycling communities, one ride (and one espresso) at a time.

Whether you're rolling in for trails, coffee, or just a good chat - don’t hesitate to say hi.

    Isabelle

When we started hearing about Isa within the community here, it normally centred on one topic: that she’s very, very fast. Not only fast, but with endurance to match. She began attending our fast paced rides in 2022 and quickly became friends with the members of our expansive community, hanging out for beer and pizza at the end of the rides and, in addition to the already well formed idea of her competence on two wheels, made a reputation for being a very nice individual (She won the PNS Plus One Race in 2022, too). Skip to the beginning of 2023 and we’re looking for a new employee, ‘why not ask Isa?’. We did, she said yes and, as simple as that, this cyclist with a cult status within Zürich is now part of our team. Isa has a wealth of knowledge relating to how to sustain, both physically and mentally, on the bike. She knows how to prepare, how to fuel and what to wear/ take with you/ consider before you head out on a long, ambitious tour.

    Dani

    The chief, the founder.

Dani is the entrepreneurial force behind Cycle Store Zurich and its sister location in Andermatt, where his passion for cycling meets high-end retail and community spirit. Since launching the first shop in Zurich, Dani has been instrumental in cultivating a connected cycling culture - organizing weekly group rides, flagship events like the Road World Championships 2024 in Zurich, and now expanding into Andermatt to support alpine riders.

With a background rooted in both business leadership and the cycling world, Dani leads a team that combines expert bike fitting, workshop services, and a vibrant café-bar-bistro atmosphere. His drive fosters a lively hub for cyclists in Switzerland - where gear, espresso, and camaraderie pedal together.
